Higher Score Guarantee Terms

These terms are incorporated into and form part of the Test Innovators Terms of Service, available at testinnovators.com/sat/tos.

1. Definitions

Active Use Requirements means the minimum platform activity a student must complete to be eligible for the Higher Score Guarantee, as described in Section 4.

Baseline Score means the student’s most recent official SAT total score or ACT composite score prior to the date of purchase of an Eligible Package, as documented by an Official Score Report.

Eligible Package means any of the following Test Innovators purchase options: SAT Valedictorian Access, ACT Valedictorian Access, ACT + SAT Access, and PSAT + SAT Access.

Final Official Test means the official SAT or ACT administration taken by the student after meeting the Active Use Requirements and within 12 months of the date of purchase.

Higher Score means:

  • For the SAT: an official SAT total score that is higher than the student’s Baseline Score.
  • For the ACT: an official ACT composite score that is higher than the student’s Baseline Score.

Official Score Report means an official score report issued by College Board (for the SAT) or ACT, Inc. (for the ACT).

Purchase Price means the amount paid by the purchaser for the Eligible Package at the time of purchase, excluding any add-on purchases.

2. Overview

Test Innovators offers the Higher Score Guarantee to purchasers of Eligible Packages. If a student meets the Active Use Requirements and does not earn a Higher Score on their Final Official Test, Test Innovators will refund the Purchase Price to the original payment method, subject to the conditions and limitations set forth in these terms.

3. Eligibility

The Higher Score Guarantee is available to purchasers of the following Eligible Packages:

  • SAT Valedictorian Access
  • ACT Valedictorian Access
  • ACT + SAT Access
  • PSAT + SAT Access

The guarantee applies once per student per test and only to the student’s first eligible purchase of each package. It is not transferable to future purchases or retakes.

Perfect scores: Students whose Baseline Score is a perfect 1600 on the SAT or 36 on the ACT are not eligible for the Higher Score Guarantee for that test, as a Higher Score is not possible.

No prior score: Students without a prior official SAT or ACT score are not eligible, as a Baseline Score is required for comparison.

The Higher Score Guarantee is available only to families purchasing directly for their own use. Purchases made by tutors, educational consultants, partner organizations, or any third party on behalf of a student are not eligible

4. Active Use Requirements

To qualify for the Higher Score Guarantee, the student must complete all of the following prior to taking their Final Official Test:

Practice Tests The student must complete at least 8 full-length practice tests in the Test Innovators platform, each on a unique test form. Completing the same test form multiple times does not count toward this requirement. A practice test is considered complete when the student has engaged with it in good faith, spending a meaningful amount of time and effort on that test. Test Innovators reserves the right to determine whether a practice test meets this standard.

Students who receive extended time accommodations on the official test may take their Test Innovators practice tests with the same accommodations. The platform supports 1.5x and 2x extended time settings.

Practice Exercises The student must complete at least 50% of the practice exercises included in their Eligible Package. A practice exercise question is considered complete when the student has engaged with it in good faith. Test Innovators reserves the right to determine whether this requirement has been met.

5. Final Official Test Requirement

The Final Official Test must be:

  • Taken after completing all Active Use Requirements, and
  • Taken within 12 months of the original purchase date.

6. ACT + SAT Access Package

Students who purchase the ACT + SAT Access package are eligible for either a full or partial refund, as follows:

Full Refund A full refund of the Purchase Price is available if the student:

  • Completes the Active Use Requirements for both the SAT and the ACT, and
  • Does not earn a Higher Score on either Final Official Test.

Partial Refund A partial refund equal to 50% of the Purchase Price is available if the student:

  • Completes the Active Use Requirements for one test only, and
  • Does not earn a Higher Score on the Final Official Test for that same test.

7. Refund Process

To request a refund under the Higher Score Guarantee, the student must submit a refund request form within 60 days of the date of their Final Official Test. The following documentation is required:

  • Official Score Report documenting the Baseline Score
  • Test Innovators account username or email address
  • Official Score Report documenting the Final Official Test score

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method for the Purchase Price of the Eligible Package.

8. Limitations

The Higher Score Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Students whose Baseline Score is a perfect 1600 on the SAT or 36 on the ACT
  • Students without a prior official SAT or ACT score
  • Refund requests submitted more than 60 days after the date of the Final Official Test
  • Students who have not completed the Active Use Requirements
  • Packages not listed in Section 3
  • Add-on purchases, including but not limited to PSAT Practice, Wild Zebra AI Study Buddy, On-Demand Course, Live Classes, and Tutoring
  • Future purchases or retakes
  • Purchases made by tutors, educational consultants, partner organizations, or any third party on behalf of a student

9. Good Faith Clause

Test Innovators reserves the right to deny a refund request under the Higher Score Guarantee if there is evidence of incomplete data, technical manipulation, or violations of testing integrity. Test Innovators’ determination in such cases is final.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, consistent with the governing law provision in the Test Innovators Terms of Service.
