Parent Workshops

In this small-group class, you will learn how to successfully navigate the admissions process to independent and private schools. You’ll learn about the admissions process, including application requirements and key deadlines. You’ll also get tips for crafting a parent statement, and advice on how to have a successful parent interview. Prepare yourself so that you can set your child up for success and help them secure a spot at an outstanding school!

This workshop is run by Laurie Geromini, a former Director of Admissions and Placement.

This workshop is limited to 15 people, so that everyone can actively participate. Participants will receive a recording of the class.

Interview Practice Workshops

In this small-group class, you will learn how to interview successfully from an admissions expert. You’ll define the story you want to tell in your interviews and practice answering common interview questions. Every student will leave with additional practice questions to help prepare.

Class size never exceeds 15 students, allowing every student to actively participate. The class is recorded so that students can review later.

Interview Practice Workshop

My son Chris attended your interview workshop and just had his interview last Friday with his first choice prep school (Loomis Chaffee). He said that he felt the workshop was EXTREMELY valuable in preparing him for the interview experience and if there’s a similar one for college, we need to sign him up. From a parents’ perspective, the workshop did a great job getting him in the right mindset around what to wear, to leave his phone at home, and to think about how he wanted to represent himself and his interests. From our perspective, it could not have gone any better. Thank you so much!

Application Essay Workshops

In this small-group class, you will learn how to write an effective application essay from admissions writing experts. This workshop will cover everything from topic choice to organization and structure, to the final revision process. Students will focus on how to write essays that best highlight their skills and personality for admissions teams.
