Test Innovators Scholarships

Test Innovators is committed to helping students gain access to quality education and opportunities through the Test Innovators Scholarship Program.

We award 12 scholarships each school year. Six Independent School Tuition Scholarships* will help fund student tuition to a great school, and six Test Prep Scholarships will help students prepare for the ISEE and SSAT. Find out more and apply at the link below.

Test Prep Scholarships

Applicants must be eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, and will be selected based on completion of a 200-300 word application essay.

Winners of the test prep scholarship will be awarded the following:

  • Full access to Test Innovators' online practice sites for the ISEE & SSAT

  • Free entry into a 3-hour test skills crash course

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. For priority consideration, complete your application by October 15, 2020.

Independent School Tuition Scholarships

Recipients of the Independent School Tuition Scholarship will be given $1,000 towards tuition at their new school. These merit scholarships will be granted to the six students with the greatest score improvements. To apply, you will be required to submit two ISEE or SSAT score reports from the 2019-20 testing season.

We are now accepting applications for the 2020 Independent School Tuition Scholarship. Applications are due by June 30, 2020, 11:59 PM PST. Winners will be notified by email on July 15, 2020.

Our 2019 Independent School Tuition Scholarships winners were announced in August 2019. A big congratulations to Mariah M., Owen C., Ellis S., Cleo W., Macie W., Ayesha W., and Gerald H. Learn more about Test Innovators' 2019 scholarship winners here!

*Eligibility for Independent School Tuition Scholarships:

The two score reports must 1) show results from the 2019-2020 testing season and 2) show results for the same test (i.e. one ISEE score report and one SSAT score report will not be an eligible entry)

To be considered you must: 1) complete this application and 2) provide (2) official score reports for the same test.

Applications for students under the age of 13 must be submitted by a parent or guardian.

To measure improvement, overall test percentile scores will be used. For the ISEE, this will be calculated as the average of all section percentiles. 3 students will be granted scholarships based on overall score improvement (percentile point increase between official tests), and 3 students will be awarded scholarships based on the greatest percent possible score improvement (for instance, with a starting test score in the 90th percentile, the highest possible increase is 9 percentile points. A student then achieving the 99th percentile on the subsequent test would be ranked at 100% for the purposes of our scholarship. If that student achieved the 98th percentile, they would be ranked at 8/9 or 89% for the purposes of our scholarship.) Ties will be broken by random selection.

Students who are awarded a scholarship will not be eligible for concurrent Test Innovators scholarships or for future Test Innovators scholarships.

The $1,000 scholarship award can be used towards 2020-21 school year tuition only.
