Remote Learning Resources

Students nationwide and around the globe are home from school due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving many parents wondering about what this will mean for their child’s education. While many schools are able to provide remote learning experiences for their students, this is not a feasible reality for all schools. To help families supplement their children’s learning while at home, we have compiled a list of various online, educational resources that are available at little or no cost.

Duolingo
Duolingo is an online and mobile app program that turns learning a language into a game. Lessons are divided into skills, which makes it easy to learn a new language without taking too much time out of your schedule. The lessons keep you engaged by providing immediate feedback, awarding points for completed lessons, allowing you to unlock new levels as you successfully move through the skills, and showing you how your fluency score improves as you practice. There are currently 36 languages offered, including Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic. Game of Thrones and Star Trek fans can even learn High Valyrian and Klingon.
