Build Your Skills with 1,700+ Practice Questions for the SAT®
Targeted sets of practice questions covering every question type on the SAT exam. Use them between full-length practice tests to focus on the skills you need to improve.
Boost Your Score with Targeted Practice
Improving your SAT score requires more than taking multiple practice tests. A practice test tells you which skills need work. Real improvement comes from isolating those skills and practicing them deliberately.
Test Innovators practice exercises give you a way to do just that. Dedicated practice exercise sets let you target individual SAT skills and question types between full-length practice tests, so you can improve your weak areas and increase your score.

What You Get with SAT Practice Exercises
Additional Practice Questions
Test Innovators practice exercises cover every question type in both Reading and Writing and Math, and we continue to add new questions on a regular basis. The practice exercise questions are completely separate from the questions on our practice tests, so you can get additional practice without worrying about spoiling a future practice test.
Targeted Question Banks
Questions are organized by specific SAT question types, skills, and difficulty level, so you can focus on one area at a time. Most question banks include multiple practice sets, giving you opportunities to come back for additional targeted practice as you build your skills.
Full Answer Explanations
Every practice exercise includes a full answer explanation that walks through why the correct answer is correct and why the other answers are incorrect. Use the explanations to learn from your mistakes, then repeat practice sets to reinforce what you learned.
Integrated Practice
Practice exercises are built into the full-length practice test experience. Every practice test question has a recommended follow-up exercise, so you can easily find similar questions to help you sharpen your skills. Your personalized Prep Plan also recommends specific practice exercise sets based on your practice test performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the practice exercises without taking a full-length test?
Yes. Head to the Practice Exercises tab to browse the full library and choose what you want to work on. If you already know which skills you want to practice, this is a good place to start. If you haven’t taken an SAT, PSAT, or Bluebook practice test yet, we recommend starting with a practice test so you can get personalized recommendations based on your performance.
How are the practice questions different from the full-length practice tests?
The practice exercises use the same types of questions and test the same skills as our full-length practice tests, but the questions themselves are different. That means you can practice the question types and skills tested on a full-length test without seeing the same questions again.
How often should I practice for the SAT?
Your ideal practice schedule depends on how much time you have before test day, but consistency is key. Aim to practice daily, taking a full-length practice test every one to two weeks. Between tests, use practice exercises to target the specific skills you need to build. Even 20–30 minutes a day leads to steady progress.
Are the practice exercises timed?
No. Practice exercises are intentionally untimed. The goal is to give you time to focus on how to solve each question, practice strategies, and understand the skills being tested. Use full-length practice tests to practice pacing and timing under test-like conditions.
Can I retake practice exercise sets?
Yes. You can retake practice exercise sets as many times as you want. Repeating a set gives you another opportunity to practice the same skills and reinforce what you’ve learned.
Do you offer additional support?
Yes. AI Study Buddy powered by Wild Zebra is available during practice exercises to help when you get stuck. It uses a Socratic approach to guide you through the problem rather than simply giving you the answer. Every Test Innovators account includes 10 free AI Study Buddy conversations, with the option to upgrade for unlimited access. Look for the AI Study Buddy widget in the lower-left corner to start a conversation.
Test Innovators also offers an On-Demand SAT Course, live SAT prep classes, and one-on-one tutoring for students who want additional support.
What's the difference between the Scholar and Valedictorian packages?
Both packages include access to the practice exercises. The main difference is the number of full-length SAT practice tests included: Scholar includes one full-length practice test, while Valedictorian includes 12. You can upgrade from Scholar to Valedictorian if you decide you want access to additional practice tests.
